This product was created based on the classic Unionworkers S/S Shirt Chambray, using a different material.
The material used is 6.5 oz indigo striped fabric with selvedge, which changes over time as you wear it.
The short-sleeved Chambray Shirt is the basis for this piece, but although there were many workwear brands in the 40s and 50s, only a handful of brands were still producing them.
Therefore, although the design is a rather conventional item, it is highly rated and a very valuable item from a vintage clothing perspective.
The collar is double stitched, the body is triple stitched, both sides of the body have gussets, and a union ticket is sewn to the bottom of the left front body hem.
It has metal buttons and flap pockets on both sides of the chest.
Special details such as asymmetrical pockets and mountain pockets have been deliberately avoided to create a realistic workwear look. The length is short so that you can wear it with a clean silhouette while leaving some room around the armpits.
