JELADO Fall/Winter Classic: Mohair Cardigan "Cobain" ~Flagship Store~
Thank you for visiting our store. We've just received new colors of JELADO's fall/winter staple, the "Cobain" mohair cardigan. When it comes to American casual wear, many people associate it with heavy outerwear like leather jackets. However, we can't forget about cardigans, which can be worn both as innerwear and outerwear. JELADO Cobain [RG13838] Amidst the ongoing '90s revival, the mohair cardigan became popular in the vintage market after being worn by Court Cobain. We've crafted this mohair cardigan in the JELADO style using high-quality materials. While vintage mohair cardigans typically contain around 20-30% mohair, this "Cobain" boasts a luxurious 70% mohair content. By brushing this high-quality material to the maximum extent possible while maintaining the fabric's thickness, we've achieved both lightness and warmth. This year's JELADO staple, the "Cobain," is available in these three new colors. Available in a versatile ash finish, these two "Mondrian check" patterns are rare even in the vintage market and continue to soar in price. This one features a pink/purple-based Harlequin, while the other is a yellow-based Brûlée. "Mondrian check" is a checkered pattern reminiscent of Piet Mondrian, a leading figure in 20th-century painting. Mondrian's minimalist style had a profound influence on the fashion industry, and Yves Saint Laurent, at the height of his powers in the 1960s, even released a collection featuring the Mondrian pattern shown above. The mohair cardigan was at its height in the 1960s, so perhaps that period also played a role. JELADO's "Cobain" also features a beautifully executed check pattern. What do you think? The Steelbeam Vest [AG13517] is made from Wabash fabric, part of the LASTRESORT series [Blue Tag], which also includes the Hoghead and Steelbeam coat. It's crafted from a new work vest. With an eye toward WABASH's three-piece lineup, this vest can be worn under the STEELBEAM COAT. Taking inspiration from the front design of a 1930s chin-strap coverall, this luxurious piece features asymmetrical pockets for a watch and pen, as well as an inner pocket. Like the STEELBEAM COAT, it features original brass-plated iron change buttons for a classic look. The buckle back features an original pin-stitched iron buckle for a striking vintage feel. The patch pocket at the bottom front is sewn with a different grain for a visual accent, and a patch is added under the stitching to ensure durability reminiscent of the workwear of the time. Thank you for visiting us. Today, we'd like to introduce this season's new items from JELADO's annual mohair series. The JELADO Lithium [RG13839] is a pullover made from mohair knit. Mohair pullovers, which I used to buy whenever I found them, have now risen in price to more than three times their original value. This rare crew-neck mohair knit is now available in a new colorway. Made with finer wool than kid mohair, it's knitted in a 7-gauge double jacquard and then thoroughly brushed with a roller to create a long, shaggy texture. The high mohair content makes it comfortable to wear over a T-shirt without any irritation. The crew neck is not too wide, making it easy to incorporate into any style. This item is available in two colors: "BLUE BERRY" and "SESAMI." The "BLUE BERRY" features a bold striped pattern, rarely found even in vintage styles, in a unique colorway. This piece pairs perfectly with denim or black denim. Starting this season, the mohair content has increased by 5% to 70%. Even vintage mohair knits tend to have a content of around 10%.
