The 2 Monkeys “VAUDEVILLE” is a boot made with a cap toe design that was popular around 1910, when the mainstream boot design began to shift from internal eyelets to external eyelets. It features arrangements in the toe shape and other details. Like boots from the early 20th century, these boots offer an exceptional fit with soft leather wrapping around the foot, providing a light and comfortable feel that is completely different from a "work boot."

The style unique to that era is particularly reflected in the sole. By using a Goodyear welt construction for the forefoot part of the single leather sole and a Blake Rapid construction for the waist and heel, a strongly constricted spade-shaped sole is created. The slightly higher heel is tapered downwards, beautifully emphasizing the curve of the heel when wearing the boots.

The leather used is horsehide (horse front) tanned with vegetable tannins in Tuscany, Italy, and then pit-dyed in Japan to achieve a tea-core finish. The soft leather fits snugly around the entire foot from the very first wear, allowing you to enjoy an amazingly light and comfortable feel.

Although the “VAUDEVILLE” has a sole shape with a strongly constricted waist, the width (*) is equivalent to E, so it is not exclusively for people with narrow feet. However, the fit on the instep tends to be tight, so for those with high insteps, a size slightly larger than your actual foot length might be a better fit.
