Vaudeville was a popular form of theatrical entertainment in America before the advent of cinema. From around 1880 to 1920, there were numerous vaudeville theaters across the United States. Featuring a diverse range of acts including singing, dancing, comedy, and magic, vaudeville nurtured early silent film stars such as Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, Laurel & Hardy, and the Marx Brothers. The 2 Monkeys "Vaudeville" takes inspiration from boots from around 1910, the heyday of vaudeville theaters. It incorporates period details such as an original toe design that adapts the then-fashionable bulldog toe with a raised tip, a small cap, a large quarter made from two pieces of leather sewn together, and a slightly higher, compact heel.

Similar to "Sportif," we've combined two construction methods to strongly narrow the waist, recreating the beauty of boots from that era. The leather is soft horsehide, and the lining is also horsehide. The black leather is tea-core with a smooth surface. While some tiger stripes and scratch marks may be visible, these characteristics are part of the horsehide's charm. It also molds to the foot exceptionally well, resulting in a surprisingly lightweight boot, just like "Sportif" and "Elastos."
