The 2 Monkeys Silk Scarf【TM83630】

British and American fighter pilots often wear white silk scarves around the neck of their flight jackets. Silk is an animal fiber that is light, durable, and has excellent heat retention, making it an ideal material to wrap around the neck to protect against the cold, but it is expensive. At The 2 Monkeys, we cut a 112cm wide piece of silk fabric into an almost square shape and made a silk scarf without sewing. At first, the cut edges will fray, but once they have a short fringe, they will not fray any further and can be used without sewing.

These silk scarves are similar to the cravat, which originated in Europe and America in the 17th century and later evolved into the modern necktie. The material and shape of the cravat have changed over the years, but early cravats were simply rectangular pieces of fabric wrapped around the neck.
