The 2 Monkeys ELASTOS Albert Brown [TM01945]

Side gore boots were said to be the most worn shoes in the UK and US in the latter half of the 19th century (1850-1900). The 2 Monkeys ELASTOS are inspired by those from the mid-Victorian era (1860-80). While incorporating the elegant style and distinctive details of boots from that period, we've created a short boot that can be worn all year round to match casual styles. Of course, the appeal of easy on-and-off has remained unchanged from then to now. We've redesigned and incorporated the style of boots from that period, including the large V-shaped gore (elastic fabric) on both sides of the ankle, the design that creates a curved instep with a center seam instead of crimping, decorations with stitching and perforations that resemble the origin of modern brogues, and caps with protrusions towards the instep. By combining the Goodyear welt and McKay construction methods, the waist is significantly narrowed to create a classical style.This season, in addition to the Victorian Blue (bluish-green) carried over from last season, we are offering a new color, Albert Brown (warm-toned dark brown), which blends more naturally with casual styles, making for a two-color lineup.
