This season's new boots, "Elastos," are inspired by boots from the Victorian era (1837-1901) in England, a period when the Industrial Revolution reached its maturity and Britain enjoyed peak prosperity. At that time in America, a major civil war broke out between the 23 northern states (United States), which were hastily promoting industrialization to counter Britain, and the 11 southern states (Confederate States), which sought to maintain slavery for the operation of large-scale plantations. This was the American Civil War (1861-1865).
The Confederate Army Shirt is a pullover shirt that reproduces the shirts issued to soldiers of the Confederate Army during this war, made from chambray material. At the time, even military uniforms were not completely standardized; some were custom-made, and specifications varied by unit.
