This season's new boots, "Erastus," are inspired by boots from the Victorian period (1837-1901) in England. This was a time when the Industrial Revolution had reached maturity and England was at the height of its prosperity. Around that time in America, a conflict between 23 northern states (the United States), which were trying to rapidly promote industrialization in opposition to England, and 11 southern states (the Confederate States), which wanted to maintain slavery to operate large-scale plantations, sparked a large-scale civil war. This was the Civil War (1861-1865). The Confederate Army Shirt is a pullover shirt made of chambray that reproduces the shirt issued to Confederate Army soldiers during this war. At the time, military uniforms were not completely standardized, and they were individually tailored, and specifications differed from unit to unit. The same goes for shirts, which were treated as underwear at the time, and there are various differences in the details, but this one is based on a shirt with a large pocket only on the left chest. It is a loose-fitting shirt that retains the atmosphere of the era, with a loose body and thick arms that extend straight out to the sides.
