These high-waisted work pants are inspired by the workwear of the Belle Époque, a period of flourishing French civilization and culture from the late 19th to early 20th century.
They feature a silhouette that gently tapers from a generous thigh down to the hem.
The waist is an easy-pants type that fastens with straps, but you can also remove the straps and use a slim belt.
Instead of belt loops, the belt passes are hidden beneath the waistband, creating a design where the belt is barely noticeable even when worn.
This gives the pants the simple and beautiful waistline characteristic of trousers from an era before belt loops were common.
The fabric, a reproduction of an antique material, uses linen for the warp and cotton for the weft, woven into a dense and irregular herringbone pattern.
