The style of 20th-century French overalls, featuring a large buttoned pocket on the bib, has been recreated using The 2 Monkeys' original discharge-printed dot fabric reminiscent of late 19th to early 20th-century textiles. These overalls offer a relaxed fit that can be worn over pants. The original fabric is a charcoal sulfur-dyed twill with a grid of discharge-printed dots, which will fade with wear, enhancing its texture. Regarding the origin of overalls, there are theories suggesting Levi's, as well as a theory attributing them to LaFont in France. In France, early overalls were called Pantalon à bavette (which translates to "apron-front pants" or "bib-front pants" in English), hence the item name "Bavette Overalls."
