Tatanka Vest [CB23526]

This vest is based on an extremely rare black Chimayo rug jacket from the 1930s to 1940s, reproducing its texture and atmosphere.
The fabric, like the jacket, is woven using the only existing all-over jacquard loom in the Bishu region. (This is the factory introduced in the JELADO Channel "Blanket" episode.)
The material composition is 81% wool, 11% cotton, and 9% nylon. The warp uses 30-count double-ply cotton combed yarn, and by selecting heavy cotton, a firm handfeel is achieved. For the weft, a blend of merino wool twisted with nylon is used, achieving both strength and flexibility. Furthermore, by using a four-layer weave structure with the weft woven in four layers, the fabric has a deep appearance and an overwhelming presence.
The finishing process involves natural finishing followed by resin processing. By adding crispness and body to the yarn, the vest maintains its three-dimensional shape and stability.
The design is a gilet type with no front pockets. By deliberately making it minimalist, the power of the pattern and the presence of the fabric are maximized.
Simply layering it over a tucked-in shirt or cut-and-sew top instantly sharpens the style and adds depth. It naturally fits into contemporary outfits and is a vest that plays a leading role in layering.
