JELADO × COLIMBO Sundowners Jacket AL-1 Plane [CT13412A]

The 2025 collection theme, "THE CREAM OF THE CACHE," is a coined phrase meaning "the finest collection." Throughout this year, we will be reproducing carefully selected vintage items from JELADO's treasured collection. As an annual popular collaboration with COLIMBO, this year we are launching the SUNDOWNERS JKT. It is named with the fictional backstory of a unit established in 1942 as the 11th Fighter Squadron, which was supposedly issued this jacket during the Korean War. This model is based on the AL-1 (55J13), a next-generation flight garment developed by the U.S. Navy immediately after the end of WWII. It removes natural leather and shearling, evolving into a more functional specification. The flexible fabric does not hinder the pilot's movement, and the lining uses alpaca/wool pile, proven in the Navy, ensuring excellent warmth. Features include rider-style cuff zippers and ribbed pockets, a standout design among military wear of the same era. To improve the durability of the outer shell, which was a challenge with the original, we used LASTRESORT tea
tag olive-colored highly durable cotton twill. The collar, reminiscent of a Pea Coat's lapel, has interlining to reproduce the distinctive puffy, roll-over collar. Furthermore, the lining side features a built-in waist adjuster, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail. Experience this piece that truly embodies "THE CREAM OF THE CACHE," fusing the functional beauty of vintage military wear with JELADO's unique modern perspective.
