This A-1940 is based on the A-2 made by Rough Wear, a contractor in the 2s, but has a more stylish design.
This time, the car is based on a model delivered in late 1941 and uses horsehide with a vegetable tanned aniline finish.
The material is 1.2mm to 1.3mm thick horsehide.
In order to reproduce the brown color that was present on the actual item at the time, a yellow dye is applied to the base and then brown is applied on top to create the same brown color as the vintage item.
