POMONA Leather Pharaoh Jacket [SG94412]

The 2025 collection theme, "THE CREAM OF THE CACHE," translates to "the finest collection," and throughout the year, JELADO has focused on recreating carefully selected vintage items from its collection. This time, we've created a leather pharaoh coat named "POMONA." This extremely rare 50s vintage pharaoh jacket is crafted from JELADO's signature semi-aniline-finished horsehide. The material is approximately 1.6mm thick horsehide, tanned with a chrome and tannin combination. After chrome tanning, the leather is rinsed off and re-tanned with tannin, bringing out the unique tannin texture and achieving a rich, rich feel that develops with wear. The base is dyed light brown, then sprayed with black using a hill dyeing process at a long-established finishing factory in Tokyo, recreating the unique depth and texture of brown-core leather. To achieve a deeper black, we used a semi-aniline finish, blending half pigment and half dye. The dye's permeability and pigment's durability are balanced to create a unique patina that allows the underlying brown to emerge with wear. The ribbing is made from highly acclaimed vintage jacquard ribbing, and the quilted lining provides improved cold protection. The texture deepens with wear, making this a one-of-a-kind Pharaoh jacket. We hope you enjoy the changes that occur.
