This is the first release in the new LAST RESORT series, "COMBAT MILLS," which revamps the fabric of the CM47 series that has been a regular staple. It uses a herringbone material that was originally woven from thread, after disassembling and analyzing vintage military fabrics. Similar to 41KHAKI, several types of vintage military herringbone fabrics were actually disassembled and analyzed. Starting from cotton selection, JELADO developed its original herringbone fabric. It faithfully reproduces the balance of softness and firmness characteristic of military materials, as well as the uneven texture unique to vintage items.
The cotton used is Deep South cotton. Furthermore, following the structure of vintage military herringbone, S-twist and Z-twist yarns are alternately used in the warp to enhance fabric strength, resulting in a herringbone twill that combines a unique twill pattern and durability. The base for this item is the USMC M-44 Monkey Pants, which are currently soaring in market value. The M-44 was a model developed in 1944 at the end of World War II, with a very short manufacturing period from July 1944 to around October 1945. Furthermore, as they were supplied to the elite US Marine Corps, the production numbers were extremely small. Due to their rarity and unique design, they hold a special place in the vintage market. The origin of the nickname "Monkey Pants" comes from the distinctive large pockets located on the back. These were designed to store rations (food) and grenades, and are packed with functional beauty designed for movements in harsh battlefields such as crawling and leaning forward. The
material used this time is the COMBAT MILLS herringbone twill, also adopted for CM47, specially dyed. Using vat dyes, the color is faithfully reproduced based on vintage examples. As you wear them, the color fades,
allowing you to enjoy the deep, rich aging characteristic of military items. These are truly monkey pants you can "grow." Iron buttons are used, and their shanks are dome-shaped to enhance the rugged vintage atmosphere. Materials, design, and background are all authentic. The M-44 Monkey Pants, worthy of the name COMBAT MILLS, are complete, representing the pinnacle of military reproduction.
