The theme of the 2025 collection is "THE CREAM OF THE CACHE." This is a coined word, but it means "the best collection." This year, we will be recreating the best vintage items carefully selected from JELADO's treasured collection over the course of a year.
One of the highlights of this collection is based on the USMC (United States Marine Corps) M-44 monkey pants, which are currently experiencing a surge in market value.
The M-44 Monkey Pants was developed in 1944 towards the end of World War II, and its unique design and functionality are its appeal. Commonly known as "Monkey Pants," these pants were produced for a very short period, from July 1944 to October 7, and were issued to the elite U.S. Marine Corps, so the overall production numbers were low and they are very rare. These pants were designed for field use, and their design emphasized ease of movement when crawling forward or leaning forward. A particularly distinctive feature is the large pocket on the back, which was made to store rations (food) and grenades. The material used this time is a specially dyed herringbone twill, which was also used in the CM1945. Herringbone is a durable fabric that accentuates the ridges by changing the twist, and the colors reproduced from vintage items are faithfully reproduced using threne dyes. The more you wear them, the more the color fades, and you can enjoy the deep aging like a vintage item. In addition, the buttons are made of iron with dome-shaped bases, enhancing the vintage feel.
