MELS Pharaoh Jacket [SG13440]

The 2025 collection theme is "THE CREAM OF THE CACHE," meaning "the finest collection." This year, JELADO is dedicated to reproducing the best vintage items carefully selected from its treasured collection. The "Pharaohs," a delinquent gang from the movie "American Graffiti," which depicts a day in the life of American youth in 1962, wore shawl-collar wool coats that later came to be known as "Pharaoh jackets." The model we are introducing faithfully reproduces a design similar to the one worn in the movie and is named after the drive-in that served as the setting. The material used is a double-woven woolen yarn of 90% wool and 10% nylon, given a melton finish to achieve a thick and substantial texture. The stiffness of the fabric creates a luxurious and tough impression. The lining is quilted to ensure warmth. Furthermore, alpaca is used for the pocket lining to enhance heat retention. The ribs are plain, just like vintage originals, creating a simple and mature look.
