The theme of our 2026 collection is "SHIBU-KAJI." This collection is based on the "Shibu-Kaji" style that was popular in Tokyo's Shibuya district from the late 1980s to the 1990s, with a modern twist. We offer timeless products that evoke a sense of nostalgia for one's youth and can be cherished for a long time. To re-emphasize the quality of Japanese craftsmanship, we have created a button-down shirt with meticulous attention to materials and sewing. This shirt is named "MADISON," after the street where the flagship store of the traditional brand that created the BD shirt is located. The fabric used is chambray, carefully woven on a shuttle loom using indigo yarn that has been cheese-dyed, after analyzing deadstock work shirts from the 1930s. Its firm texture, when pressed and worn, enhances the neat appearance characteristic of button-downs. Furthermore, the buttons are made from luxurious shell, and details such as gussets, slim arms, and a compact, short silhouette create a vintage-like atmosphere. It fits beautifully as an inner layer under a jacket, with the collar's stand naturally harmonizing with the jacket's silhouette. In addition, the front features a six-button design, faithfully reproducing the details of button-down shirts from the 1950s. This piece, combining classic and modern elements, truly deserves to be called "the Japanese standard."
