These lace-up shoes are made from a single piece of leather that runs from the toes to the heels and are not lined. The leather gently wraps around the foot, providing a unique comfort.
The leather, which has a moist texture, is made from tanned leather in Tatsuno, Hyogo Prefecture, and is hand-finished. It is a leather that changes with age. The wooden last is an oblique type with a wide toe area.
You can wear it like this.

  • The shape of the shoe is determined by the wooden last. At KOTOKA, we use two types of wooden lasts for both men's and women's shoes. The "oblique type" has a wider space between the toes and more room in the instep, and the "round type" has a moderately rounded toe and a sleek shape. This shoe was made on a slightly wider "oblique type" last. There is no set width, but you can think of it as being about the same width as a regular EE shoe.

  • Shoe sizes vary depending on the compatibility between the shape of your foot and the wooden shoe tree, the manufacturer, and the structure of the shoe. Sneakers are also smaller than leather shoes, so the fit is different from that of leather shoes. Please refer to the following as a guide when choosing the size of this KOTOKA shoe.
  • [Wide/high arched feetWho】
The size is 1.0cm to 1.5cm smaller than the sneakers you are currently wearing. To wearThe same size as the leather shoes you are wearing, or about 0.5 cm smaller.

These shoes are made from "Tatsuno Hand Wax Leather," which is made by tanning tanned leather at a tanner's in Tatsuno, Hyogo Prefecture, and then rubbing approximately 10 kg of cold wax into the surface of the leather using a special hand iron, resulting in leather with a soft luster and feel.
