The naturally moist leather is meticulously crafted in Tatsuno City, Hyogo Prefecture, by hand-finishing vegetable-tanned leather. This leather develops a rich patina over time. The last is an oblique type, offering ample width around the toes, ensuring a comfortable fit.

• The last determines the shape of a shoe. KOTOKA uses two types of lasts for men's and women's shoes, respectively. These are the "oblique type," which has ample width for each toe and room in the instep, and the "round type," which has a moderately rounded toe and a smart form. This shoe is made with the slightly wider "oblique type" last. Although no specific width setting is provided, please consider it to be approximately EE width for regular shoes.

• Shoe sizes can vary depending on the shape of the foot, the compatibility with the last, the manufacturer, and the shoe's construction. Additionally, sneakers tend to be smaller than leather shoes, so their sizing differs. Please refer to the following guidelines when choosing the size of this KOTOKA shoe.

  Approximately 1.0cm to 1.5cm smaller than the sneakers you wear. The same size as the leather shoes you wear, or about 0.5cm smaller.
  
• 【For those with narrow or thin feet】
  Approximately 1.0cm to 1.5cm smaller than the sneakers you wear. Approximately 0.5cm to 1.0cm smaller than the leather shoes you wear.

This shoe uses "Tatsuno Hand Wax Leather," which is made by hand-rubbing approximately 10 kg of cold wax onto the surface of vegetable-tanned leather with a specialized hand iron after pit-dyeing at a tannery in Tatsuno City, Hyogo Prefecture, resulting in leather with a soft luster and feel.
