Based on the flight jacket 〈MIL-J-8279〉 adopted by the US Air Force in the 1950s, we have carefully followed the specifications and details of the time. While maintaining the design philosophy that pursued mobility and durability in a narrow cockpit, we have updated it with a modern fit and material usage. It has been elevated into a flight jacket that is classic yet has a contemporary feel. The MIL-J-8279 is the spec number for the earliest MA-1 model, developed to accommodate the "intermediate zone" of -10 to 10 degrees Celsius. It is a highly perfected masterpiece that continued to be adopted and improved for approximately 30 years. While retaining iconic details such as the flapless pockets and sage green nylon lining found in the early models, the outer shell uses our original "LAST RESORT DENIM." The outer fabric is pre-washed to prevent shrinkage and ensure that it can be worn with peace of mind after purchase. By using 14oz white tag black denim, we have achieved both ease of movement and a substantial presence.
