JELADO Yellowstone Vest [AG82530]

We are releasing the YERROWSTONE blanket vest, made from a meticulously woven original blanket fabric. It is named after the place where the Crow people are said to have been led to and resided.

Using a jacquard loom, the only one of its kind in Bishu, we use 2/48 worsted yarn for the warp and 1/10 weft yarn, ensuring the weft yarn is almost entirely visible. By intentionally using fine worsted yarn for the warp, the colored threads of the woolen weft yarn emerge on the surface, creating the profound atmosphere of a native blanket. We spent two years perfecting the pattern, repeatedly checking yarn color samples and testing color schemes to match the original pattern's ambiance. To enhance the pattern and texture of the weft yarn, we consulted with the finishing factory and implemented a special light milling process (lightly brushed) followed by re-pressing.

While blankets with fewer colors, such as two-color designs, can be woven with woolen yarn for both warp and weft to achieve a thicker appearance, this fabric, with its numerous colors and complex pattern, requires considerable effort. The fabric is used horizontally to change how the pattern is displayed.

This special blanket vest is based on a work vest from around the 1940s. The collar allows for elegant styling. The piping on the pocket edges further enhances the overall atmosphere. It is a piece that can create an accented coordinate with shirts or cutsews.
