JELADO Windproof Parka Indigo [CT41441]

Based on a 1940s US NAVY pullover hoodie, this piece is made from spring-like white herringbone and indigo-dyed slub-nep fabric. Both fabrics are 100% cotton. The indigo slub-nep fabric is made using a spinning machine from the 1940s, so the yarn is not as clean, straight, and uniform as yarn made with modern spinning machines, resulting in a strong vintage feel. It features a natural slub, not the artificial slub created by modern computer-controlled methods, and the neps are created by hand-kneading fallen cotton (cotton that falls during spinning). The white fabric is a beautiful, tightly woven herringbone. While the vintage version was made from white twill fabric, we decided to use herringbone this time to add an accent through the weave pattern within a simple color scheme. The buttons are cat's-eye buttons. The double-layered front placket prevents wind intrusion, and fine details such as the tape and drawstrings around the hood to enhance snugness are also reproduced. A drawstring at the hem allows for better insulation. The arm circumference is not too narrow, allowing for comfortable wear even with a slightly oversized, loose fit. With its simple design, this item is versatile, functional, and suitable for any style.
