JELADO Winchester Horsehide Full Aniline Topcoat Finish Cherry Brown [RG94405H]

We have revived the Winchester, a highly popular model from the legendary brand EASTWEST, which gained immense popularity in the 1970s. After 12 years since its initial reproduction, it became our best-selling leather product. We have refined its sizing and sewing specifications for this new release.
For the leather, we used newly developed horsehide, approximately 1.6mm thick, processed with a combination tanning method (chrome x tannin). The base was dyed light brown, then dyed with anilines using a pigment-free "oka-zome" (cliff dyeing) technique at a long-established finishing factory in Tokyo.
We pursued the ultimate vintage aesthetic, finishing the leather with a full aniline process.
While adding a little pigment would make the black deeper and richer, the characteristic of this dye is the enjoyment of color change unique to aniline, and the absence of a thick coating means it feels almost completely soft.
For basic deep black dye finishes, a semi-aniline process is typically used, which involves applying pigment and then aniline dye. This method conceals leather imperfections, ensures uniform and beautiful color, and preserves the leather's texture.
However, with the same concept as our Last Resort denim, we aimed for a leather that offers natural comfort and develops a beautiful patina over time.
This Topcoat finish adds an extra touch to the full-aniline leather.
On top of the brown core black, dyed with full aniline, we applied blue dye to enhance the black, and then finished it with fine particle pigments to adjust the black color.
Unlike regular pigments, fine particle pigments are made of tiny molecules, so they don't form a thick coating like conventional pigments. This allows the underlying color to show through, creating a unique color expression.

From this iteration, we are using 20-count thread for the stitching.
The zippers are "WALDES" brand.
The lining, as before, is made of cupra fabric.
The most distinctive feature, the hidden pocket (marijuana pocket) on the back of the collar, a symbol of 70s culture, has been reproduced exactly as it was.
Additionally, the front body lining features JELADO's original leather name, just like the vintage versions.
The result is a finish that allows you to enjoy an even more authentic "EAST WEST" feel.
This item is produced with sizing closer to vintage specifications than previous Winchester models, offering a more realistic 70s atmosphere.
