JELADO S/S Westcoast Shirt [SG82103]

We have released Westcoast Shirts, which are based on the open-collar shirts from the 50s, in a different material.

I used indigo dyed cotton kasuri fabric.

The blend is 94% C and 6% PE, but to create this kasuri pattern, polyester slub yarn is randomly woven into the weft.

The indigo raw fabric is dyed in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, and because the polyester slub yarn cannot be dyed with indigo, the randomly woven polyester slub yarn creates a scratched look.

Since it is dyed with indigo dye, the fabric will change over time the more you wear it.
It has an open collar design, which is a characteristic of the 50s, but it is made from cotton instead of rayon, so it can be washed vigorously and you can enjoy the changes that occur over time.

This is a piece that can be worn casually even by those who are not comfortable with flashy patterns such as aloha shirts.
