Westcoast shirt released from the JELADO BASIC COLLECTION.
This time, the popular open collar shirt is made with specially selected indigo sashiko fabric.
The ground part uses 20/- warp and weft threads, and 10/2 thread is used for the warp striped sashiko part, creating a fabric with a textured feel.
The dyeing and printing is done entirely at a factory in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture. After indigo dyeing, the fabric is rotary (a roll screen type) used to apply pigment discharge printing in a geometric print reminiscent of the 50s.
Pigment discharge printing is a process in which indigo dye is removed and beige pigment is added.
This allows you to reproduce beautiful colors without being affected by the color of the base.
The color fades with each wear, allowing you to enjoy the changes over time.
