JELADO Warmup Crew Neck Sweat [AB02220]

The theme for the 2024 COLLECTION is "SPROUT."
This theme takes its name from the vintage shop that our representative, Mr. Goto, started 20 years ago. This collection will feature reproductions of items that were collected back then.
With the cooperation of Riding High, we have released WARM UP, an item that can be considered synonymous with this theme. The sweatshirt, which we are offering again after some time, is knitted from 100% cotton, US-cotton blended open-end yarn. The face yarn is 14/- (open-end yarn), the middle yarn is 20/- (right twist), and the back yarn is 10/-. To create volume in the back yarn, we had to modify knitting machine parts due to the larger amount of back yarn being pulled out.
For the knitting machine gauge, we prioritized the reproducibility of the front fabric and, after discussing with the knitter, used their original 12G for knitting, as well as needles developed in-house. We also paid close attention to the napping process, using an American-style napping machine to achieve the same napped-back texture as vintage items. To reproduce the dry fabric feel of that era, the fabric is degreased after knitting. We focused on reproducing the fabric feel of that time, resulting in a considerable quality, including the stiffness of the fabric and the appearance of the knit stitches on the surface, just like vintage pieces.
The side panels of this WARM UP use flat seams, adhering to vintage specifications. The clean sewing of the degreased, stiff fabric was made possible through collaboration with a skilled factory. For the color, we intentionally reproduced a rare color that was highly regarded in the 90s. This season, we propose pairing a big-sized, rare colored reverse weave, which we often wore in our twenties, with 519s.
