We collaborated with GYM, a knitwear specialist, to create a 40s summer knitwear set.
We have produced a 12G jacquard knit using BCI (THE BETTER COTTON INITIATIVE) cotton. BCI is an initiative that considers the environment, reduces water and pesticide use, improves soil, and considers the working conditions of farmers and cotton workers. Cotton farmers who meet the standards are certified as better cotton producers.
Its characteristic is that it has less fuzz than regular cotton, which gives it a neater texture and a glossier feel. The raw cotton used is the finest long-staple cotton from India, which has a fine fiber count and a soft feel.
The knitting is done using double jacquard to express the pattern of a rare printed shirt from the 50s, so the threads on the back side do not get caught, making it easy to wear, and more thread is used, resulting in a heavy-looking finish.
The fit is not extremely oversized, but rather a loose fit that is comfortable to wear, making it a versatile piece that can be worn with anything.
