For this limited release, we have developed a highly exclusive denim under our LAST RESORT banner designated as the Gin-Tag (Silver Tag). For the warp, we utilized a #7 thread profile identical to our Black Tag denim, subjecting the yarns to an intensive 8-dip rope-dyeing process to achieve a profoundly deep indigo expression. For the weft - the absolute crown jewel of this textile - we sourced the highest grade of ultra-long-staple cotton available. We selected Suvin cotton, India’s most prestigious raw cotton variety, specifically choosing the pinnacle grade known as Suvin Gold Supreme to give an astonishing, silky smoothness to the fabric hand feel.

By leaning on the foundational DNA of our LAST RESORT denim, we used modern technology to reverse-engineer genuine mid-century vintage garments. Through this process, we successfully recreated the signature texture and raw yarn irregularities that define authentic heritage denim, while simultaneously engineering the fabric to deliver that incredibly smooth, comfortable next-to-skin feel characteristic of original pieces.

To execute the manufacturing of this extraordinary denim, we commissioned the master artisans at Rebuild in Osaka to completely recreate a 1955-spec XX pair from our private archives. Showcasing Rebuild's uncompromising commitment to craftsmanship, the sewing threads are hand-dyed in-house using custom-sourced natural dyes, ensuring the stitching beautifully transforms and fades in perfect harmony with the denim. The orange construction thread is dyed using a highly labor-intensive multi-stage process - first dyed yellow before being over-dyed orange - allowing you to enjoy a deeply nuanced, gradual shift in color tone over time.

Furthermore, the garments are built using the exact vintage Union Special and Singer sewing machinery from the era, accurately recreating the period-correct stitch pitches and heavy-duty structural techniques designed to prevent thread breakage under tension. Every single pair is meticulously completed by hand, honoring the historical context, environment, and spirit of mid-century manufacturing.

The trousers are cut with a generous, wide silhouette true to the iconic 1950s aesthetic, making them a perfect option for styling with a classic cuff.

Please note that all garments for this release are supplied entirely in a non-wash (rigid/raw) condition. Significant shrinkage will occur after the initial wash; referencing post-wash measurement charts (calculated using standard household washing machines) is highly recommended for sizing. Dimensions may also vary by a few centimeters depending on specific washing environments.
