We used an even thicker melton than last year.
Made from Bishu-produced double-woven melton, 90% wool, 10% nylon.
It is double-woven with a broken twill weave, making the weave less visible and giving it a luxurious, vintage feel.
After weaving, it undergoes multiple processing steps such as fulling, double-sided napping, and clear finishing (a process that presses the fabric with rollers to give it stiffness).
This is a time-consuming material.
The sleeves are made of soft, supple cowhide with increased grain, and the lining is made of smooth navy cupra.
Like last year, we've increased the range of motion to avoid stress when worn, while still creating an outerwear with a silhouette suitable for adults.
By making the melton black and the leather black, we've created a simple stadium jacket that is more suitable for adults.
The leather sleeves are made of 1.8mm cowhide, but they are finished to be soft so as not to cause stress during movement.

As for the customization, we again commissioned Handler-san this year. Craftsmen applied patches and embroidery one by one using a SINGER 114K103 hand-crank sewing machine from the 1950s, assembled in England.
The patches are elaborate, made by hand-cranked chenille embroidery and chain embroidery.
Full custom includes a wizard back embroidery (4 to 5 hours per garment) and patches, all done by hand-crank.
