JELADO Smoker Shirt Red Chambray [JP73141]

The material used is a tightly woven 5oz chambray fabric with slubs.
Chambray fabric is a plain weave textile made with colored warp threads and white weft threads (or weft threads of a different color than the warp), characterized by its distinctive mottled texture.
As shown in the image, the weft threads have an uneven texture, resulting in a flexible fabric with moderate thickness and firmness.


The design is based on the "Gachapoke" (double-pocket) shirt from BIG YANK in the 1930s.
The smaller front pocket replicates the unique bag seam found in vintage pieces, making it a detail that appeals to vintage enthusiasts.
The shoulders and arms are constructed with triple stitching for enhanced durability.
Additionally, the pockets feature double stitching, just like in the original garments, creating an authentic vintage feel.
The buttons are hexagonal, similar to those used on old work shirts.
The gusset features a selvedge and run-off chainstitch.
Since the original "BIG YANK" shirts of that era had both selvedge gussets and bag-seam gussets, we chose the selvedge gusset to preserve the original atmosphere.
Cotton thread is used for all stitching.
When washed and tumble-dried, cotton thread shrinks, causing the stitches to tighten and creating more pronounced puckering and fading around the shoulders and arms.
The fit is designed to be sleek and flattering, with a moderately slim cut around the arms.
