JELADO Smoker Shirt Chambray [JP81119]

We've crafted our SMOKERS SHIRTS using the ultimate slub yarn chambray fabric.
The material used this time was specifically developed by JELADO to create the ultimate slub yarn chambray. We deconstructed vintage BIG YANK shirts from the 1930s-1940s that JELADO has collected. We meticulously reproduced the fabric's characteristics, including yarn count, thread count, slub yarn shape, and twist (the warp threads are a plied yarn combining two different counts), to create a supreme chambray fabric.
Since it's dyed with sulfur dyes, you can enjoy the characteristic aging unique to vintage items.
Of course, because it's made on power looms, you can feel the texture of the 1930s-1940s.
This time, we've created a fabric that slub yarn chambray fans will absolutely love.
The design is based on a "BIG YANK" utility pocket shirt from the 1930s.
The smaller front pocket is a cigarette pocket, reproducing the distinctive French seam construction found in vintage items.
Triple stitching is used on the shoulders and arms for durability, and the careful sewing, including the fine stitch count and stitch width, preserves the atmosphere of the era without compromise.
By using cotton thread for sewing, the threads will tighten even further when washed and tumble dried, creating a beautiful puckering effect and unique character on the shoulders and arms.
