This chambray shirt is based on vintage work shirts, specifically those with the highly popular asymmetrical pockets, also known as "gacha-poke."
The design is inspired by BIG YANK shirts from the 1920s. While preserving the atmosphere of that era, we have meticulously focused on material selection. Although vintage shirts from this period often featured chinstraps, we intentionally omitted this detail to create a simpler design that is easier to incorporate into everyday wear. The result is a balance that retains a classic feel while naturally blending with modern styles.
For the fabric, we use yarn spun on old spinning machines, giving it a natural uneven texture, which is then dyed with sulfur dyes. Furthermore, by using a mixed-weave fabric with cotton for the warp and nylon for the weft, we achieve a unique crispness and firm touch. This creates a distinctive and substantial fabric feel, unlike typical chambray. Since it's dyed with sulfur dyes, the color will fade with wear, allowing you to enjoy a vintage-like aging process. Over time, the shirt's appearance will change, becoming a unique piece that reflects your personal journey.
