JELADO Sleeping Shirt [BL81120]

Introducing the popular SLEEPING SHIRTS from BLUE LABEL.
BLUE LABEL is a collection that adds a modern twist to vintage designs, without being constrained by the era or regional theories of the original vintage pieces.
This season, the collection is based on European workwear and military styles.
The fabric is made in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, where a dobby loom is used to create a stitch pattern reminiscent of sashiko. Then, nine screen printing plates were made to create a realistic boro (ragged) look, resulting in a meticulously crafted printed fabric.
Using a sturdy sashiko-style dobby fabric with 20/- warp and 20/- weft, and 85x55 threads per inch, and based on boro fabrics from the Meiji and Taisho eras, we repeatedly redrew the design to create a highly refined pattern.
With the dedicated efforts of the dyeing factory's artisan, we were able to achieve screen printing instead of transfer printing.
The result is a level of finish that is hard to believe is a print.
Combined with the sashiko-like dobby texture of the base fabric, I believe we have created a fabric with even greater depth.
This meticulously crafted fabric has been used to create our popular sleeping shirts, which receive rave reviews every season.
Instead of trying to perfectly replicate the boro fabric, we propose a new type of vintage style that leverages its design.
