The theme for the 2025 collection is "THE CREAM OF THE CACHE." This project, which translates to "the finest collection," involves carefully selecting JELADO's treasured vintage items and recreating them in the finest form. Following last year's popular special velvet sukajan, this year we're releasing a style that more clearly showcases the value of vintage. Among the super rare sukajan in JELADO's collection, the skull design, considered particularly rare, has been reproduced exactly as it was in the original design. The original skull-motif sukajan was originally sold as a "hanging souvenir," but was less popular than more common motifs like dragons, hawks, and tigers, and production numbers were extremely low, making existing examples extremely rare. This special design is considered the "king of sukajan" even in the vintage market. Crafted in a variety of fabrics, including velvet and satin, many unique pieces feature the same skull pattern, with subtle variations in facial expression and color. This time, we've faithfully recreated an example owned by JELADO while adding a touch of originality. The A-side is made of 100% cotton velveteen and features an embroidered skull and snake motif. The B-side is made of rayon satin with an embroidered hawk. The padding is made of thick scrap cotton, recreating the comfort you expect from a vintage piece. Furthermore, the B-side quilting is hand-quilted to fully capture the atmosphere of the time. From the body design to the embroidery and coloring, this is the ultimate Sukajan jacket, crafted using vintage techniques. We hope you enjoy this special piece.
