The theme for the 2025 collection is "THE CREAM OF THE CACHE." This project, meaning "the finest collection," involves carefully selecting JELADO's treasured vintage items and reproducing them in their best form. Following the popular special velour Sukajan last year, this year we are releasing styles with even clearer vintage value. Among the super rare Sukajan jackets collected by JELADO, we have faithfully reproduced the particularly rare skull pattern, exactly as it was designed at the time. The original skull motif Sukajan was sold as a "souvenir off the racks" back then, but it was less popular than classic motifs like dragons, eagles, and tigers, and production numbers were overwhelmingly small, making existing pieces extremely rare. It is considered a special design, referred to as the "King of Sukajan" in the vintage market. They were made in various body materials such as velour and satin, and even with the same skull pattern, many pieces were unique with subtle differences in facial expressions and colors. This time, we have faithfully reproduced a piece owned by JELADO, while adding originality. The A-side uses 100% cotton velour fabric with skull and snake motifs embroidered. The B-side features rayon satin with eagle embroidery. Thick batting made from recycled cotton is used for the padding, recreating the comfort unique to vintage items. Furthermore, the B-side quilting is hand-quilted to maximize the atmosphere of the era. From body design to embroidery and coloring, this ultimate Sukajan is crafted using vintage techniques.
