The 2025 collection theme, "THE CREAM OF THE CACHE," is a coined term meaning "the finest collection." This year-long project involves carefully selecting JELADO's treasured vintage items and recreating them to their finest. The SALEM VEST, JELADO's first release in six years, features a specially crafted reproduction of a super-vintage blanket fabric, recreating the same pattern as previous works in multiple colors. The material is a 92% wool, 8% nylon double-sided brushed jacquard, faithfully recreating the fabric of a 1920s blanket. The black-based color scheme, in particular, is a rare find, even in the vintage market. The warp thread is made of 100% Australian Merino wool, 40-count two-ply yarn, a "Level Up Wool" specification that maximizes the yarn's quality. The weft thread is made of 90% wool, 10% nylon, 5-count single yarn, providing a firmness and stiffness similar to British wool, while the addition of nylon adds strength and softness. Using a rare all-over jacquard loom, the fabric is woven by skilled artisans using a unique Japanese technique. It undergoes a special brushed and resin treatment to achieve the distinctive texture and spongy softness of a blanket. Because the left and right patterns are cut and sewn together, the larger the size, the greater the amount of fabric required, making this a time-consuming process. However, the balance of the pattern and a luxurious feel are given top priority, resulting in a luxuriously placed finish. Shell buttons are used for the buttons, evoking the elegance and elegance of a pre-1920s era.
