The STANDARD COLLECTION is releasing a classic indigo short-sleeved chambray shirt every year. With so many eye-catching workwear items available these days, we've created a classic short-sleeved shirt with a genuine workwear feel.
However, it may be surprising, but original (vintage) short-sleeved chambray shirts are rare. Most are long-sleeved shirts with the sleeves cut off by buyers at the time (or later). While there were many workwear brands in the 40s and 50s, only a handful produced short-sleeved chambray shirts. Therefore, while the design is conventional, it is a highly valued and treasured item from a vintage clothing perspective. This time, we've taken one of these original short-sleeved chambray shirts and reworked it to create a classic look, incorporating the rugged, sturdy specifications of workwear. The collar is double-stitched, the body is triple-stitched, both sides of the body are gusseted, and a union ticket is sewn to the underside of the left front hem. It features metal buttons, flap pockets on both chests, and red cotton thread for the bar rivets.
This workwear has a realistic perspective, deliberately refraining from special details such as asymmetrical pockets and mountain pockets. The length is short so that it can be worn with a sleek silhouette while still leaving some room around the armpits. It has a simple design while still retaining the basics of workwear, so it is perfect for those looking for a work style, as well as those who want to enjoy it without being limited to a work style. Pair it with shorts and it will also look natural on a "casual holiday style".
