We've customized our classic chambray shirt from the JELADO BASIC COLLECTION with stencil work.
This time, titled "NOVEL CUSTOM," we've taken Hemingway's "The Old Man and the Sea" as our theme, expressing famous quotes and imagery from the work through stencils.
The title of the novel is printed on the left chest.
On the back, we've stenciled an image of the old man going out to sea alone, as depicted in the story, along with a famous quote he left behind.

This shirt expresses the magnificent scene of the old man battling the harsh sea, along with the cool, positive words and feelings that come from him, despite his seemingly un-mighty appearance in the text.
As you wash it, the print will fade along with the indigo, making it a shirt that can be worn for years to come.
The color is blue, and the material is 100% cotton chambray.
With so many work items featuring eye-catching rare details circulating today, we designed this short-sleeved shirt with a classic design from a realistic workwear perspective.
However, it might be surprising, but original (vintage) short-sleeved chambray shirts are quite rare.
Most of them are long-sleeved shirts that were cut by the purchasers at the time (or later years).
While many workwear brands existed in the 40s and 50s, only a handful produced short-sleeved chambray shirts.
Therefore, while it's an orthodox item in terms of design, from a vintage clothing perspective, it's a highly valued and appreciated item.
This time, we've put together such an original short-sleeved chambray shirt in an orthodox way, incorporating robust workwear specifications.
The collar has double stitching, the body seams are triple-stitched, both sides of the body have gussets, and a union ticket is sewn on the inside of the left front hem.
Both chest pockets have flaps, and yellow cotton thread is used for the bar tacks.
This workwear is designed with a realistic perspective, deliberately avoiding special details like asymmetrical "gacha-poke" (different shaped pockets) or "yama-poke" (mountain-shaped pockets).
The length is finished short to allow for a neat silhouette while providing ample room around the armpits.
