JELADO Rebel Jacket Horse Hide Full Aniline Finish Black [SG63419]

Manufactured based on the "WINDWARD" double riders jacket, a Montgomery Ward brand from the 1950s.
The design is based on a 1950s double riders jacket, specifically the "Two-Star" model, which features star studs on the shoulders.
The leather used is a newly developed horsehide, approximately 1.6mm thick, that has undergone a combination (chrome x tannin) tanning process. After dyeing the base a light brown, a traditional finishing factory in Tokyo applied a "hill dye" by spraying dye onto the surface.
We pursued the ultimate vintage aesthetic, finishing the leather with a full aniline finish.
While adding some pigment would create a darker, deeper color, this method allows you to enjoy the color changes unique to dye, and because there is no coating, it feels almost completely soft.
For a basic deep black dye finish, a semi-aniline finish is typically used, which involves applying aniline dye over a sprayed pigment. This method hides imperfections in the leather, results in a uniform and beautiful color, and does not compromise the leather's texture.
However, in line with the concept of our Last Resort denim, we aimed for ultimate natural comfort and aging, so we chose a full aniline finish.
We believe this was the best choice.
Please enjoy the charm of full aniline finished leather, which can be described as the ultimate natural makeup, by wearing it in.
For the lining, we reproduced and used red satin quilting, which was common at the time.
The red quilting gives it a strong vintage feel.
TALON and WALDES zippers are used.
The front hem features a belt that fastens with a buckle.
Corduroy is used on the inside of the hem, providing a durable specification that prevents the leather from rubbing.
Pleats are also included in the shoulder area of the back for functional wear.
This is a sturdy and robust riders jacket with a longer length than regular double riders jackets and slender arms, allowing for a stylish fit.
