The 2020AW collection is themed around BLACK OF ORIGIN and looks back on the past 15 years while showcasing American casual style, its roots, in a black base.
With the theme of reviving and restoring America's forgotten but irreplaceable clothing, we were particular about how closely we could recreate the vintage atmosphere.

We have reproduced the fabric of a striped blanket jacket made by BLACKBEAR around the 1930s and created a zippered vest from the same era.
The fabric is a blanket made of 77% wool, 14% cotton, and 9% nylon.
The fabric is a faithful reproduction of the vintage blankets from that time.
In reproducing the border pattern using 14 colors, current looms can only accommodate up to nine colors in the weft thread. Therefore, in order to reproduce the same hand-woven feel as the vintage items, we wove 9 colors into the warp threads of the fabric, which resulted in more fabric waste, but we were able to reproduce the same color and texture as the vintage items.
The vintage fabric had light blue warp threads instead of white, so we recreated that as well!!
This also created a good atmosphere.
Previously, we made it in navy as it was in the vintage version, but this time we wove it with a black base and left the other accent colors unchanged, and we took the time to brush and finish the fabric to create a special blanket fabric.

The herringbone tape is also black to match the base color of the fabric.
The pockets and edges of the vest are all wrapped with herringbone tape.
The front zipper is a Deco TALON zipper.
The pockets are "WALDES" ball chain zippers.
The size is slim and sleek, so it can be worn as an inner layer under a jacket, or over a thermal or shirt.

It is a Spanish word meaning "town" or "village," and the name is derived from the Indians.
