JELADO Pueblo Coat Black [AG53410]

The 2020AW collection, themed "BLACK OF ORIGIN," looks back at the past 15 years and presents American casual wear, which is our origin, with a black base.
We focused on reproducing the vintage feel as much as possible, with the theme of regenerating and reviving forgotten and irreplaceable American clothing.

This is a border pattern blanket jacket, a work jacket type with a chinstrap, made by BLACKBEAR company around the 1930s.
The fabric is blanket material.
The vintage blanket fabric from that time has been faithfully reproduced.
To reproduce the 14-color border pattern, it was found that modern looms could only incorporate up to 9 colors in the weft. Therefore, to reproduce the hand-woven feel similar to vintage pieces, we wove 14 colors into the warp threads, despite increased fabric loss, reproducing the color and texture to be identical to vintage.
Since the vintage fabric was woven with light blue instead of white for the warp threads, this was also reproduced! !
This also created a great atmosphere.
Previously, we made it in navy as found in vintage, but this time we used black as the base and wove it without changing the other accent colors. This carefully crafted blanket fabric has undergone napping and finishing processes over time.

Furthermore, the buttons were also reproduced with carved nut buttons in the same vintage design! !
The silhouette, when worn, is also finished to evoke the feeling of that era.
The hem turn-up and the facing part of the front placket are also finished with whipstitching, just like vintage items.
