The theme of the 2025 collection is "THE CREAM OF THE CACHE." It represents the finest collection, carefully selecting and recreating JELADO's treasured vintage items. The collection features a sweatshirt cardigan developed in collaboration with Riding High. Named "Mountain Man," this piece was recreated through extensive analysis and repeated prototyping of vintage outdoor fabrics from the 1930s and 40s. Charcoal heathered yarn is used for the surface thread, interwoven with off-white yarn for the middle thread, creating a textured look with depth. Two different thicknesses of yarn are used for the back thread, creating a striped, uneven texture. Making full use of only two jacquard knitting machines in the world, the one-of-a-kind texture has been achieved. The 16.1oz heavyweight fabric is brushed and overdyed to recreate the distinctive vintage feel. The design follows the ever-popular collared salt-and-pepper cardigan, with a twisted heathered jacquard stripe body and charcoal accents. The stitching is done with a twin needle, resulting in a beautiful finish despite the heavy fabric, and the cuffs are finished with circular knitting.
