It was an eyewear manufacturer based in New York, USA.
The company was named Tart Optical because the frames were manufactured in its own building in the heart of Manhattan, New York.

The company went out of business in the 1970s, but it is still a popular eyewear brand, well-known for James Dean owning several pairs of Tart Optical's ARNELs, and Johnny Depp famously wearing the same ARNELs in movies and private life, to the point where they became his icon.

The production location is Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture, a famous eyewear producing region.
These "Made in Sabae Japan" items allow you to experience the quality of "Japan made."

The frame's gradient fabric is very luxurious, and approximately 60% of the sheet fabric is wasted.
