JELADO Lower Shirt Vanilla [AG41116]

Named "LOWER SHIRTS," these shirts were conceived and designed based on ideas gleaned from photobooks of American laborers.
We added a stylish twist to the distinctive, and in some ways unique, attire of people living in New York's "LOWER TOWN" before the 1930s, including boys forced into harsh labor that would be problematic today.
The design is based on a valuable vintage "REUNION" chambray shirt stored at our company, with slight adjustments made to enhance wearability.
The fabric used is a 93% cotton, 7% linen, yarn-dyed indigo check fabric.
The large-patterned dark indigo check fabric has a color tone that is easy to coordinate with various outfits.
The left chest pocket features a shape designed to hold a pocket watch, just like in those days, and there's also a hole in the front button placket for attaching a pocket watch chain.
The collar is a small round collar, and there's a chin strap shape that extends slightly from the neck, rarely seen on old work shirts, giving it a more antique feel.
While work shirts from that era often had a dramatically rounded front hem where the front panels overlapped, similar to many antique shirt designs, this shirt features a straight hem with a clean silhouette along the front placket, typical of work shirts from around the 1940s.
This silhouette is easier to wear and more versatile for coordinating outfits.
The buttons used are small cat's-eye shell buttons.
Since cotton thread is used for sewing, the threads will tighten with wear, allowing you to enjoy a more antique feel.
Both side hems of the body have gussets.

It has been finished to provide a neat silhouette while allowing room around the armholes.
Being a 7-sleeve design, it won't feel bulky even when worn over a T-shirt, resulting in a cleaner look than it appears.
It is a simple and easy-to-match item, recommended for those who appreciate old workwear.
