JELADO Lower Shirt (Lower Shirt) Indigo [AG41116]

These shirts, named "LOWER SHIRTS," were designed based on ideas from photo books of American workers.
We added a stylish touch to the exquisite, somewhat unique style of dress of the people who lived in New York's "Lower Town" before the 1930s, the young boys who were forced to do hard labor that would be considered problematic today.
The design is based on a precious vintage chambray shirt made by "REUNION" that we have in our possession, with some slight modifications to make it more stylish.
The fabric used is a cotton linen yarn-dyed indigo check fabric that is 93% cotton and 7% linen.
The large pattern of the dark blue indigo check fabric makes it easy to coordinate with a variety of outfits.
The left chest pocket is designed to hold a pocket watch, just like the original, and the front buttonhole also has a hole for fastening a pocket watch chain.
The collar is small and round, and the chin strap is shaped to protrude slightly from the neck, which is a rare feature on old work shirts, giving it an old-fashioned feel.
Work shirts from that time have a large rounded front and overlapping hem, which is common among antique shirts, but this shirt has a straight hem that follows the front of the shirt for a beautiful silhouette, which is common among work shirts from the 40s.
This silhouette is easier to wear and can be easily coordinated with other items.
The buttons are small cat-eye type shell buttons.
The sewing thread is made of cotton, so the more you wear it the more the thread will tighten, giving it a more antique feel.
There are gussets on both sides of the hem.

It has been designed to provide a clean silhouette while still leaving some room around the armpits.
The shirt has three-quarter sleeves, so it won't be bulky even when worn over a T-shirt, and it looks neater than it appears.
