JELADO Lower Shirt - Indigo [AG41116]

Named "LOWER SHIRTS," this shirt was conceived with inspiration from photo books of American laborers.
We've added a stylish touch to the exquisite, and in some ways unique, way people dressed who lived in New York's "LOWER TOWN" before the 1930s, including boys forced into harsh labor that would be problematic today.
The design is based on a valuable vintage chambray shirt made by "REUNION" from our archives, with slight adjustments made for wearability.
The fabric used is a 93% cotton, 7% linen, yarn-dyed indigo check.
The large, deep indigo check pattern makes it versatile and easy to coordinate with various outfits.
The left chest pocket is shaped to hold a pocket watch, just like in those days, and there's also a hole on the front button placket to secure a pocket watch chain.
The collar is a small round collar, and details like the chin strap that protrudes slightly from the neckline, rarely seen on old work shirts, give it a more vintage feel.
While work shirts from that era often featured a deeply rounded front body that overlapped at the hem, common in antique shirt styles, this shirt features a straight, clean-lined hem along the front body, typical of work shirts from the 1940s.
This silhouette is easier to wear and incorporate into outfits.
Small cat's-eye shell buttons are used.
Cotton thread is used for sewing, so as you wear it, the threads will tighten, giving it a more antique look.
Both side hems of the body have gussets.

We finished it with a neat silhouette while allowing for room around the armholes.
As it has 3/4 length sleeves, it won't feel bulky even when worn over a T-shirt, resulting in a cleaner look than it appears.
It's simple and easy to match, making it a recommended item for those who love vintage workwear.
