The fabric is woven with a warp of 30/2 (two 30-count yarns twisted together) cotton yarn, composed of 79% wool, 12% cotton, and 9% nylon, and a weft of 2/7 (two 7-count yarns twisted together) yarn, which is a coarse-spun yarn of 90% wool and 10% nylon. The fabric finishing process also emphasizes a vintage aesthetic, undergoing a tweed finishing process that avoids揉みこまず縮絨化 (kneading and fulling) to prevent shrinkage. It is washed more than usual to achieve a vintage finish with an "oil-removed" look, as if it has aged over many years.
