BLUE LABEL is releasing GRASSE.
Named after a French city, this jacket is a classic reinterpretation of the popular French China jacket.
Based on a vintage piece made for Chinese immigrants in France in the 1980s, we added the V-stitch pocket design characteristic of 1940s French work jackets. We also used thick moleskin and sulfur dyeing to recreate the well-worn look of a vintage piece owned by JELADO.
The thick moleskin, with its characteristic fading from sulfur dyeing and slightly worn fabric, expresses a vintage aesthetic.
While vintage French China jackets are typically made from thin, shirt-like cotton fabric, we have given this one more volume and a luxurious feel, adopting classic pockets to create a China jacket suitable for adults.
The fit is a generous, classic silhouette.
It's a unique piece that looks great simply thrown over a T-shirt.
