JELADO Gotham Jacket Indigo [BL53409]

Based on a 1890s sack coat, this piece is casually made with corduroy material.
It features 100% cotton 9-wale corduroy fabric, indigo-dyed in the bolt.
"Wale" refers to the ridges of the fabric, and its thickness is measured by the number of ridges per inch, with a lower number indicating a thicker wale.

Fabric with alternating thick and thin wales, like a parent and child, is called "Oyakocall" (parent-child corduroy).
This fabric is characterized by its firm texture and smooth pile.

Striped sateen is used for the lining to add an accent to the solid indigo color, and fine stitching is applied to the collar back, reproducing traditional details and designs.
Striped sateen is also used for the back of the flap pockets, including the watch pocket, enhancing the overall feel.
While the morning coat-like silhouette, which flares out from the hem to the sides, evokes a sense of history, the use of indigo corduroy fabric updates it into a sophisticated and easily wearable jacket for urban settings.
