JELADO Expedition Sweat Cardigan [AB02221]

The 2024 COLLECTION theme is "SPROUT."
This theme adopts the name of the vintage shop that Representative Goto started 20 years ago. This collection will be a reproduction of items that were collected back then, as we look back on them.
In cooperation with RIDING HIGH, we have released the EXPEDITION SWEAT CARDIGAN.
This item is synonymous with the theme and is a sweatshirt that we are offering again after a long time. It is knitted with 100% cotton, US cotton blend open-end yarn, with 14/- (open-end yarn) for the face yarn, 20/- (right-twisted) for the middle yarn, and 10/- for the back yarn.
To particularly increase the volume of the back yarn, we modified the knitting machine parts. We also discussed with the knitters to prioritize the reproducibility of the face gauge, developing an original 12G and needles in-house.
We also paid close attention to the napping process, using an American-style napping machine to create the same looped back napped texture as vintage items.
To reproduce the dry, crispy feel of the fabric from that era, the fabric is degreased after knitting.
By focusing on reproducing the fabric texture, we have achieved high quality, including the stiffness of the fabric and the appearance of the face stitches, just like vintage items.
The sewing also involves carefully stitching the degreased, stiff fabric, and a twin needle is used for the seams connecting each part.
Regarding the colors, we reproduced rare colors that were highly valued in the 90s. In the 2000s, full-snap items were more highly valued, and we believe that even then, rare colored items were highly regarded.
We believe we have recreated Reverse Weave, which continues to increase in value, at a high level. This is a very convenient sweat cardigan that can be used for both a just-right fit and an oversized look, and is light enough to throw on as a layer.
