Ellis has been released from the JELADO BASIC COLLECTION. The BASIC COLLECTION is based on JELADO's core concept of adding a topping to good old things. It is a collection that not only follows vintage designs but also updates items previously released by JELADO by selecting fabrics and subsidiary materials that match the current season and making minor adjustments, as well as new decorations, designs, and size arrangements. This "Ellis" shirt is inspired by the shirts worn by European immigrants when they came to America in the 19th century. It is based on antique, stand-collar workwear. The fabric is a pigment discharge print fabric, made by dyeing the base fabric, discharging a dot pattern, and then finishing with a beige pigment print. The fabric has undergone sanforization, so the shrinkage rate is stable. The printing process, including base fabric dyeing and discharge printing, is done at a factory in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, that can handle the entire process consistently. The placket has a wide, rounded design, similar to a work shirt. Another key point is the fine stitching with #50 thread, finished to match the old details. This "dress work" item can be worn in both work and clean styles, making it a versatile piece that can be worn in a wide range of ways.
