Ellis released from the JELADO BASIC COLLECTION.
The BASIC COLLECTION is a collection based on the concept of topping off the good old things that are the foundation of JELADO. While following the vintage style, it not only adds new decorations, designs, sizes, etc., but also updates items previously released by JELADO by selecting fabrics and accessories that suit the season and making repeated minor adjustments.
This "Ellis" shirt was created based on the image of shirts worn by European immigrants when they came to America in the 19th century.
It is based on antique stand-up collar workwear.
This is a pigment discharge fabric made by dyeing the ground fabric, discharging it to create a polka dot pattern, and then finishing it with a beige pigment print.
The fabric is sanforized to keep shrinkage constant. The printing is done in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka Prefecture, at a factory where we can do all the printing from dyeing to discharge printing.
The placket is wide and rounded, just like a work shirt.
The stitches are also carefully sewn with 50-count thread, which is a key point as it is finished to match the old details.
Although it is a work shirt, it is a "dress work" item that can also be used for a neat style, making it a piece that can be worn in a variety of ways.
