The theme for 2024 is "SPROUT." Named after the vintage shop that CEO Goto established 20 years ago, this collection recreates and features vintage items and popular products from that era.As part of this collection, items based on button-up varsity jackets from the 1940s and 1950s have been developed. These varsity jackets have been given a slightly more relaxed silhouette and are named "EAGLE EYE," a moniker taken from legendary Major League Baseball players of old.HUNDLER created the Indian head design based on a vintage patch. This Indian head features parts of its headdress sewn with chains, and the facial contours and eyes are depicted through handle embroidery, stitching felt pieces together.The body of the jacket is a reproduction of vintage melton wool produced in Ichinomiya City, Aichi Prefecture, analyzed and recreated with top yarn in a double-weave for high density, resulting in a very substantial melton. It weighs 900g, making it quite thick.The sleeves are made from 1.8mm thick cowhide, chrome-tanned, which provides a substantial yet soft and flexible material for ease of movement.The buttons are designed to evoke vintage-style balls, enhancing the overall atmosphere. While this varsity jacket has volume, it is designed for comfortable wear, offering a stylish look that pairs well not only with fashionable outfits but also with classic bottoms like denim and chinos.
