These pants were tailored for comfort while retaining the original feel of a vintage duffel bag used by the navy in the 1940s, which was repurposed for this design.
Utilizing the wide silhouette of the bag, we aimed for a simple design that gives the impression of a disassembled bag.
The front features a simple design fastened with thick cords adjusted by D-rings, with a single patch pocket on the back and slash pockets on the front.
The material is a luxurious heavy linen fabric, developed to evoke the image of a hemp burlap sack (dongoros). Dongoros refers to a strong fabric woven from thick hemp threads, typically used for coffee bean bags.
As it uses extra-thick twin threads of hemp, the slub texture and rough appearance of the linen are even more pronounced. Although it's a solid color, it's deliberately pre-dyed to achieve a deeper hue.
Despite its thickness, being 100% linen, the fabric offers excellent breathability and a cool feel. The silhouette is quite loose and wide, making it an ideal choice for those who prefer a relaxed style.
